So here is a question for discussion: What is the best way to prepare for the CWI exam? Many courses and videos are available. What method works?

Someone can study for this for months and if the information is not being used on the test it's not going to help. What's effective?

I recently got done with AWS 8 week seminar. You definitely need the WIT book and The Code Clinic Book. If you can get your hands on those 2 you'd be on to a good start. I purchased The Arc Of War from the gentleman that runs this site and I highly recommend that for Part B study material.

I take my Part B next week and then A and C the next 2 weeks after. So I can't say whether or not the classes and books worked lol! But I definitely feel ready and more knowledgeable about welding than I ever have been.

If you're spending your own money just purchase a Part B class. The A and C are on you and how much you study.

If your work is buying, then might as well get an entire course.

I did AWS and I'd give it 5 out of 10. We glazed over general knowledge like a freshly jizzed donut and the code book portion was not even 2 classes worth. The part B was the most insightful and most important in my opinion so that's why AWS gets a 5 and not a 1.

Either way I have learned that going on YouTube, purchasing practice exams, and reading as much as I could has taught me a lot of different things.

Hope this helps
